2024 Osun Intercollegiate Games: Committees Instituted For Smooth Coordination And Running Of Games.

In the overriding drive to actuate and effect an immersive, smooth and successful 2024 Osun Intercollegiate Games, Ace Sports in collaboration with Osun Tertiary Institution Games Association(OSTIGA) has set up committees of variegated mandates to help steer various functions of a success of it to optimization.

The committees which are Technical, Accreditation and Venue are composed of membership of seasoned academics from across participating tertiary institutions in the state, astute sports administrators and technocrats—with high deference to core expertise in each of the featuring sports—and also other administrators.

The various committees and their respective membership are as follows:

At the nub of the collective mandate of the committees is bringing about the success of the forthcoming 2024 Osun Intercollegiate Games where fairplay, sportsmanship, genuine representation, adequate welfare and best sporting practices shall be brought to bear and be ticking over throughout the duration of the games.

Dovetailing into this broad core is the micro mandate of each of the committees with meticulous selection criteria of savvy and competence to ensure that no effort is spared towards ensuring the competition achieves its desired purpose and turns out a toast of all.

The Team Lead of Ace Sports, Olayiwola Olafiranye, remarks that setting up the committees is a testament to the towering resolve of Ace Sports in organizing a memorable Osun Intercollegiate Games where the true essence and purpose of the games shall be achieved and that going forward, every organizational aspect of it in need of smoothening out shall be tended to accordingly. It would be recalled that, the 2024 Osun Intercollegiate Games is the inaugural edition of sporting competition involving tertiary institutions across the spectrum Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education and Monotechnics in Osun State and being organized by Ace Sports in conjunction with Osun Tertiary Institution Games Association(OSTIGA). The competition, which is slated for kickoff on the 20th November 2024, would feature the sports of Football, Athletics, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Scrabble and Tug-of-War and to be hosted in four(4) tertiary institution venues across the state.
