Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has committed
his future to the club after signing a new long-term contract ahead of the
2026/27 season.
The Hungary international, who joined the Reds from RB
Leipzig in the summer of 2023, will enter his fourth campaign at Anfield and
his first under new head coach Andoni Iraola.
Speaking after signing the new deal, Szoboszlai
described the moment as one of the biggest milestones of his career.
"This is maybe my biggest day," he told
Liverpool's official website. "Only signing for Liverpool for the first
time and the birth of my baby rank above it. In my football career, this is
definitely in my top three."
The midfielder expressed his excitement about
continuing his journey with the Premier League champions.
"I'm very happy and can't wait to keep going.
There's always more to achieve. I'm happy with what I've done so far, but I
know I can do even better. That mindset has driven me since I was a kid, and it
hasn't changed."
Szoboszlai also reaffirmed his ambition to lead by
example and help Liverpool win more major honours.
"When I joined Liverpool, I said I wanted to win
everything, and that hasn't changed. I want to win every competition possible
in England and also the Champions League. I'm ready for the challenge."
Since arriving at Anfield, the 25-year-old has made
147 appearances in all competitions, scoring 28 goals.
He played a crucial role in Liverpool's 2024/25
Premier League title triumph and was voted the club's Player of the Year last
season following a series of impressive performances.
