In a symbolic gesture of goodwill and cooperation, the
Chairman of Nasarawa United FC, Mr. Solomon Babanjah, on Monday, led the new
Technical Adviser of the Club, Salisu Yusuf, on a courtesy visit to the Deputy
Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, who is currently acting as Governor of
Nasarawa State.
This strategic meeting served as an excellent
opportunity for the Club's leadership to forge stronger ties with the State
Government.
During the visit, the Chairman presented the Deputy
Governor with a customized replica jersey of the Club, symbolizing the spirit
of unity and sportsmanship that epitomizes the Nigeria Premier Football League
side.
The Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe,
delightfully appreciated the visit, and expressed enthusiasm for the Club's
prospects in the top-flight and pledged continuous support for the development
of sports in the State, particularly Nasarawa United FC who continue to work
hard to remain afloat in the elite domestic football league.
The meeting equally provided a platform for the new
Technical Adviser, Salisu Yusuf, to be formally introduced to the Deputy
Governor, reaffirming the continuation of a promising partnership between the
Club and the State Government.
During his brief remarks, the Chairman of Nasarawa
United, Solomon Babanjah, said the visit was aimed at re-emphasizing the
commitment of the Club to engaging with critical stakeholders and fostering
mutually beneficial relationships, going forward.
Nasarawa United are currently 16th on the league table
with 36 points after their match-day 30 triumph over the league's defending
champions, Rangers International of Enugu, last week Friday at the Lafia City
Stadium.
The team is already in Ilorin, Kwara State, for a date
with Kwara United on match-day 31, on Wednesday, 26th March, 2025, as they look
forward to continuing with their recently found impressive form.
