The duo of Mohamed Salah and Mohammed Kudus were easily the cynosure of all eyes when  they starred for their different clubs in the Premier League last weekend.

Salah, it was, who scored to level the scores for Liverpool in the 40th minute after Simon Adingra had put Brighton, their opponents ahead in a keenly contested league match away at the Amex Stadium on Sunday.

He would then score his second, off a penalty in the first minute of added time to put the Reds ahead before the break.

However, his efforts would prove insufficient to earn his team outright victory as Lewis Dunk stole in to bang home the equaliser to end the game 2-2.

However, Salah achieved a personal milestone by bringing his overall goals tally for Liverpool to 192, with 144 of them coming in the league.

The Reds and the Seagulls did end up sharing the spoils with Liverpool amassing 17 points overall from it's opening 8 Premier League games.

Salah will be hoping to push his team further ahead as they battle their other rivals for the title when league action returns after the international break.

Mohammed Kudus celebrating his first Premier League goal against Newcastle

KUDUS

Mohammed Kudus was no less outstanding when his new team, West Ham United also engaged Newcastle United on Sunday at their home ground at the London Stadium. Tomas Soucek had put the Hammers ahead in the 8th minute to provoke two quick responses from the visitors who replied with two quick goals off the boots of Swedish forward, Alexander Isak in both the 56th and 62nd minutes.

But Kudus would snatch the Hammers from the jaws of defeat at home in the 89th minute, rising to the occasion to power home the equaliser -- his second for the club, and his first in the Premier League.

The Ghanaian's performance earned him the BBC Man Of The Match award the same way his fellow African, Salah scooped the award in the Brighton game.
