Barcelona have reportedly submitted an official bid to
Borussia Dortmund for the signing of German forward Karim Adeyemi.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano,
the La Liga champions have opened formal negotiations with Dortmund as both
clubs discuss the financial terms of a potential deal.
Adeyemi is also understood to be keen on the move,
with Barcelona emerging as his preferred and only destination for a transfer
this summer.
Providing an update on X, Romano said negotiations are
progressing as Barcelona push to complete the signing.
"BREAKING: Barcelona submit official bid to
Borussia Dortmund for Karim Adeyemi. Negotiations ongoing with BVB as
@gerardromero reported. Adeyemi wants Barcelona as ONLY club to join this
summer. Barça made their bid and want Adeyemi now, waiting on BVB
decision."
Barcelona reportedly view the 24-year-old as an ideal
addition to strengthen their attack, thanks to his pace, creativity and ability
to play across multiple forward positions.
Adeyemi enjoyed an impressive campaign with Borussia
Dortmund, registering 10 goals and six assists while making significant
contributions beyond his goal involvement. Widely regarded as one of the
fastest players in European football, he is expected to add another dimension
to Barcelona's attacking options if the move is completed.
