Chelsea FC midfielder Moises Caicedo has signed a new
seven-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2033.
Since joining Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion
in August 2023 for a reported £115 million, Caicedo has grown into a key figure
in the squad, establishing himself as one of the standout midfielders in world
football.
The Ecuadorian has made 140 appearances for the Blues
across all competitions, contributing eight goals and 11 assists, while also
playing a role in their triumphs in the Conference League and the Club World
Cup.
Speaking after signing the new deal, Caicedo expressed
his excitement about continuing his journey with the club, stating his belief
in the team’s direction and ambition to achieve greater success.
He also revealed his personal goal of becoming a
Chelsea legend, emphasizing his determination to keep improving and help the
team win more trophies.
His contract extension follows another major renewal
at the club, with captain Reece James recently committing his future as well.
Chelsea now turn their attention to a crucial fixture
against Manchester United as they continue their push for a top-five finish and
qualification for next season’s Champions League.
