he crisis confronting the All Progressives Congress
(APC) in Delta State may have become intractable going by a minority report
that has just been released by pro-Senator Ovie Omo-Agege supporters.
The latest report is a complete departure from the
majority report by the Olorogun O’tega Emerhor-led Reconciliation Committee,
which was constituted by the State Working Committee (SWC) to address the
leadership crisis that has since enveloped the Delta State wing of APC.
Midwest Herald checks revealed that, the Emerson
report that suggested a dual leadership position for both Olorogun Festus
Keyamo SAN and Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has the blessings of majority of the
stakeholders, including the Delta APC Elders forum, the APC State Working
Committee and the National Working Committee (NWC).
However, Omo-Agege and his sect has since rejected the
recommendations contained in the majority report.
As the internal wrangling persist, cracks have emerged
within the supporters of Omo-Agege as some elected legislators on the APC
platform, have withdrawn their support for the Omo-Agege.
Senators, Ede Dafinone and Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, as
well as the House of Representatives member, Francis Waive have embraced the
majority report.
