Sean "Diddy" Combs' projected prison release
date has been brought forward by more than three weeks, according to federal
Bureau of Prisons information cited by TMZ.
The music executive is now listed for release on
February 6, 2028, instead of March 2, 2028, the date reported last month. His
projected release date has changed several times, with earlier listings
including January 21, February 5 and February 20. The report did not explain
the latest adjustment.
The change follows his transfer from FCI Fort Dix in
New Jersey to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania, where he was reportedly placed in
the general prison population. At Fort Dix, he was reportedly placed in
solitary confinement over alleged disciplinary violations, including fighting
and using contraband mobile phones.
NBC News also reported allegations that he paid other
inmates to give massages, prepare meals and do chores, arrangements it
described as preferential treatment. Those reports concerned his time at Fort
Dix. The latest account did not establish whether the alleged disciplinary
incidents affected the calculation of his release date.
A jury convicted Combs in 2025 on two counts under the
Mann Act involving the transportation of people across state lines for
prostitution. He was acquitted of the more serious racketeering and
sex-trafficking charges, and a judge sentenced him to 50 months in federal
prison. February 6, 2028 remains a projected release date, not a guarantee that
he will leave custody that day.
