Edo State Government has appealed for patience from
the people as efforts are made to make them happy with the development strides
underway across the state.
The government has commenced series of interventions
to make the people happy with the provision of
basic living necessities and
fixing of dilapidated roads across the
state.
Edo State Commissioner for Information and
Communications, Hon Paul Ohonbamu who made the appeal in a statement in Benin
City, noted that the Governor Monday Okpebholo led administration is aware of
the various issues confronting the state,
including the bad spots on the roads in Benin City Metropolis.
According to the Commissioner, the government has
commenced series of interventions to fix
the problems in the state, but the
people should be patient with the administration just six months in office.
"The State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo is
keeping to his promise to build
roads of the same standard with those in
Abuja, the Federal Capital.
According to the Commissioner, Governor Okpebholo appreciates
Edo people for voting for the right candidate who has passion to make
the people happy.
The Governor who inspected the on-going construction
of the Effandion-Uromi road, Atani-Uromi road, Uromi-Ubiaja road
Utako-Uromi road and the 36 kilometre Uromi Technical
College road with drainages in Edo Central, recently said that by the time he
would be leaving the state, Edo would be better than what he met.
Ohonbamu, noted that the Governor is poised to bring
better life to the people and he is demonstrating it with the massive works
going on across the state, which have
made the state a construction site.
The Governor is happy that Edo people have chosen the
path of progress and he has assured that President Ahmed Bola Tinubu will give
the people good life, just like himself
who is passionate to see the people happy.
"The Governor had disclosed that this is
demonstration of what the state government is doing for Edo people,
constructing roads of Abuja standard for the people.
The fly over at the Ramat Park in Benin City
and other roads across the state will open the communities for business.
The Governor was also at Udomi, where he inspected the
completed Udomi Primary School and the
underground drainage system.
Ohonbamu who stated that it will not be possible to
fix all the problems in the state at the same time, appealed for patience from
the citizens and assured that Governor
Okpebholo is not unaware of the various
issues that need attention by the government.
The Edo State Government's appeal to its citizens to
be patient with the development strides underway in the state is a call for
understanding and cooperation.
