Flying Eagles of Nigeria have resumed camping in Abuja
ahead of the 2025 CAF U20 African Nations Cup in Cote D'Ivoire.
Coach Aliyu Zubair drilled the players in their first
training session on Monday at the FIFA Goal Project, Package B, Moshood Abiola
Stadium, Abuja with two training sessions (morning and afternoon) holding on
Tuesday.
Nigeria are back to back champions of WAFU B U20
competition where they qualified for the CAF age grade AFCON finals.
The CAF youth championship will hold from 26th April
to 18th May 2025. 12 countries namely; Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania,
DR Congo, Congo, Kenya, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Egypt and Morocco have
secured qualification and will participate in the competition for FIFA U20
World Cup tickets. CAF has not conducted the draw for the tournament.
This edition of the tournament also doubles as the
African qualifiers for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile where teams who
reached the semi-finals stage qualified automatically.
Senegal are the defending champions.
