The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has
appointed as special advisers three out of the five commissioners sacked
earlier on Tuesday.
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the
Governor, Mukhtar Gidado, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday evening in
Abuja.
The former commissioners are – Abubakar Abdulhameed
Bununu – Special Adviser on Multilateral coordination and Regional Integration,
Usman Danturaki – Special Adviser on Labour Matters and Contributory Pension
Scheme and Prof. Simon Madugu Yalams – Special Adviser on Technical and
Vocational Education.
Gidado said: “The appointments that take immediate
effect are part of the Governor’s commitment to ensuring effective leadership,
inclusivity, and the attainment of his administration’s developmental goals.
“Governor Bala Mohammed urges the appointees to bring
their wealth of experience, dedication, and expertise in their respective
fields to contribute significantly towards the attainment of the Governor’s
vision for Bauchi State.”
The governor charged the appointees to discharge their
duties with diligence, transparency, and a renewed focus on improving the lives
of the people of Bauchi State.
