Gospel singer has spoken about trust issues between
him and his late wife, Adedoyin Odunuga.
He said he used to tell her to overlook things she
heard about him as he was bound to do certain things musicians do.
He spoke during a wake in her honour, sharing a
heartfelt message, reflecting on their relationship and personal struggles.
Dare Melody fondly remembered conversations with his
wife, where he asked her to accept his flaws and all as a musician and human
being.
He praised Adedoyin’s truthful and honest nature,
mirroring his own values.
Dare acknowledged his inability to “fix” his own home
despite helping others.
“I try so hard for my today not to spoil my tomorrow.
I used to tell my late wife, whatever you hear about me, we are musicians and
we are human. Accept me as I am.
“My wife, Adedoyin, was a very truthful and honest
person, and I am also very truthful. I don’t know how to lie. I used to mend
people’s homes but when the storm came, I couldn’t fix my own home,” he said.
