The Acting Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu,
has reassured Nigerians of the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to protecting
lives, property, and maintaining national peace, amid rising geopolitical
tensions in the Middle East.
According to a statement from ACP Benjamin Hundeyin,
while the country remains stable, the Force has intensified proactive,
intelligence-led policing measures nationwide.

as a theatre for foreign conflicts and warned that attempts to import external
ideological or religious disputes will be met with the full force of the law.
IGP Disu also urged community leaders to continue
promoting peace and called on citizens to remain calm, vigilant, and
law-abiding, while promptly reporting suspicious activity to the nearest police
formation. The Force remains fully prepared to safeguard every Nigerian and
maintain national security at all times.
