A Nigerian lawyer and anti corruption crusader, Mr
Abba Kaka, SAN, has noted that it is very sad that he, as a Nigerian will take his
Nigerian passport and travel abroad, and be seen as a criminal or
fraudster, only because of some Nigerian youth who use their computers to
defraud people abroad.
Mr Abba Kaka made this this disclosure when he was
being interviewed on Arise Television from 15.01. He went on and
urged the officials of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, to go
after these fraudsters and punish them accordingly.
He said: “I’m not going to sit in Nigeria, take my
green passport and travel abroad, and be seen as a criminal , because of
these young people who are always on the computers, trying to scam somebody.”
Furthermore, he urged President Bola Tinubu to send
death penalty bill to the national assembly, so that anyone who who is guilty
of stealing will be killed. He also urged the president to strengthen the EFCC,
ICPC and the police, so that they will be able to perform their work
effectively.
