Former State lawmaker Blyden Amajuruonwu, who
represented the Ngor-Okpala State Constituency, and Cajethan Duke, the
Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, or APC, Imo State
chapter, have both resigned from the party. In Owerri, the state capital, they
announced their resignation to their followers and members of a brand-new
political movement called The Mazi Organization (TMO).
According to Duke, their decision to resign was the
result of careful consideration of joining and aligning with the new political
movement led by Chima Amadi in order to create a new political climate that
would usher in a new era for the State’s economic development and prosperity.
I would like to inform this esteemed audience and the
general public of my decision to step down as the State Publicity Secretary of
the All Progressives Congress (APC), Imo State, with effect from today, Friday,
February 14, 2025, with the utmost humility and sense of responsibility. “This
decision was not taken lightly, but after careful consideration, I have decided
to move on to a new challenge that aligns with my values and goals,” he said.
“As I embark on this new chapter, I am excited to
announce that I have accepted the offer to become the official spokesperson of
TMO for better Imo State.” The former APC Publicity Secretary expressed
gratitude for the chance to serve the APC Imo State in that capacity, saying,
“This new role aligns with my passion for building an environment conducive for
real economic growth and prosperity and I am eager to contribute my skills and
experience to help advance the organization’s mission and goals.”
