Chief Barrister Austel Chukwuyemugo Elumelu & Dr, Mrs. Affiong Austel Elumelu the parents to the upcoming music star and a seasoned instrumentalist in David Chifumnanya Elumelu from the tiny village of Onitcha - Olona of Delta state. He comes from a family of five kids with a strong catholic back ground of dedication and service to humanity. A graduate of banking and finance at the University of Ghana, as a kid people watch him grow playing every musical equipments available at his disposal treating us to musical tones from Christian, pop, highlife that made him a fun to be with around the home. Qus: How did the music in David Chifumnanya Elumelu start that you are catching the world in a grand style? ANS: Truth be told, I just realised Songs could sound differently. I have always loved music through influences of my parents and also in school. QUS: To ask why music outside your education as a graduate? Ans: It was what I had already started doing and it was paying at a young age through school and up until now. QUS: How was your education in Ghana and back home compared to Nigeria that you know when you start but no definite time to graduate? ANS: The public university system seems better outside the country because they have a system that works well. I know we should improve QUS: ln all the musical instruments which are you much conversant with? ANS: I play the piano, the drums, the guitars, Trumpet. QUS: Which of the music legend is your idols locally and internationally? ANS: Although, I've been inspired by greats like Bob Marley, Dr. Dre, Sarz, Davido, Burna Boy, Ryan Leslie, Jude Nnam and Kanye West. QUS: How best should music be promoted by government outside the usual enabling environment for thrive? ANS: When it comes to promoting music outside of the enabling environment, one way the government can help is by supporting exceptional local talents through funding and grants. They can also create platforms and events to showcase upcoming artists. QUS: What are your targets to turn around your set goal? ANS: To Impact positively, carve a niche for myself, Let people know with God all things are possible. QUS: What are your experiences so far with travels and active involvement in shows and support participations to top musicians locally and outside? ANS: It's quite different, Internationally, the support is really encouraging you have people who show you the greatest love. Also locally, the love is not as intense as the one's abroad. But your people will always be your people QUS: Recently you made a breakthrough through the lslamic state of Saudi Arabia that has attracted sports and entertainment to it's fold coupled with your UK performance that you got honoured? ANS: Saudi Arabia is a very peaceful place, the people I met showed me love. When I landed the young ones showed me immense love. I joined a local football team to train. Despite the language barrier I was also able to show them my music and shot some parts of my music video over there. In the UK is quite different but you need to make things happen for yourself which I did. The performance wasn't planned but as I took the opportunity, I received an overwhelming ovation. QUS: Are you under any record label? ANS: No I am not. Although I am making waves with my movement The 247 wavygang. QUS: How many music tracks have you released till date? ANS: As an Artist not so much. But as a producer, a lot. QUS: Any form of parental support like others will reflect been discouraged at one time in their life time? ANS: I have amazing parents that support the movement along side great uncle and aunt's who support well. QUS: What are your impression of Nigeria managers in the course of your career as a music artist mostly at the struggling point? ANS: If you meet the right one. You will make serious moves. But some just look out for themselves. I just know there are good managers out there. QUS: Any plans to storm the world soon that could give you the desire break through like your colleague? ANS: I plan on dropping an E.P, and I have featured both national and international artist. QUS: Can a musician emerge as Nigeria President in a time soon like that of Senegal with a 44 yrs old FAYE emerging recently? ANS: We live in a global village now where anything can happen. Thanks to the Internet. So opportunities present themselves so for a 44 years. I'm happy for him to be successful and change the narrative to translate the country into wealth and a safer country tackling the security challenges that has become a problem to the continent in the past decade
