Sport Nigeria LTD/GTE is excited to announce the
partnership and co-hosting role of the National Sports Commission (NSC) in the
upcoming Sports Africa Investment Summit (SAIS) 2024. This much-anticipated
event, set to take place on November 19-20, 2024, at the Lagos Continental
Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, will be significantly shaped by the NSC’s
involvement, led by its newly appointed Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko.
Mallam Dikko, who will serve as the Special Guest of
Honour, is set to deliver a keynote address on the opening day of SAIS 2024.
His address will outline a vision for the role of sports as an economic and
social force in Nigeria and across Africa, emphasizing the need to approach
sports as an economically viable sector driven by sustainable business models.
In addition to his keynote, Mallam Dikko will
participate as a panelist in two key breakout sessions: “Facilities, Stadiums,
and Arenas – The Sports Infrastructure Strategy for Industry Development” and
“Accelerating Industrialization through Sports Development and Investments.”
His contributions will align with the Commission’s mission to position sports
as an economic driver with meaningful community and social impact.
Mallam Dikko’s involvement highlights the NSC’s
dedication to forging public-private partnerships that can elevate sports
beyond traditional participation. The Commission aims to transform the sector
into a robust platform for sustainable development and economic progress, both
within Nigeria and across Africa.

Investing in Sports Infrastructure for a Sustainable Future,” will bring
together a wide-ranging audience of policymakers, investors, and industry
leaders to explore impactful strategies and collaborations. With a focus on
using sports as a catalyst for sustainable development, the summit aims to
unlock significant social and economic advantages by fostering investments
throughout Africa’s sports infrastructure.
