President of the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF), Dr. Ademola Are has expressed deep sorrow upon learning of the passing of Malam Abdulrazak Usman, Secretary of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) in Kaduna State.
Dr. Ademola described Malam Abdulrazak's demise as a significant loss to grassroots sports development in Kaduna State, Northern Nigeria, and the entire nation. He fondly remembered Malam Abdulrazak as a dedicated and driven individual deeply committed to nurturing sports at the grassroots level in Kaduna.
Reflecting on their past collaborations during his tenure in the Ministry of Sports, Dr. Ademola emphasized Malam Abdulrazak's wealth of knowledge in sports and his unwavering dedication to improving the landscape of the game.
"He was a true asset to the sports community, always eager to enhance the grassroots sports scene. His sudden departure leaves a profound void, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts," remarked Dr. Ademola.
Dr. Ademola extended his heartfelt condolences to Malam Abdulrazak's family, the sports fraternity in Kaduna State, particularly YSFON, and the State Ministry of Sports, led by the Honourable Commissioner, Prof. Benjamin Kumai-Gugong. He also conveyed sympathy to the people of Kaduna State during this difficult time.
Malam Abdulrazak Usman's passing occurred in the early hours of Monday, March 4, 2024, at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika Zaria. May his soul rest in peace
