The Management of Kano Pillars FC under the leadership
of Alhaji Ali Muhammad Umar, has suspended the club's Technical Adviser, Usman
Sheriff Abdallah, for three weeks due to the team's poor performance,
BSNSports.com.ng reports.
He was also suspended for his conduct towards Kano
Pillars fans immediately after the NPFL match day 22 goalless draw against
Bayelsa United on Sunday.
This was contained in a statement by the club's Media
and Communications Directorate.
According to the statement, "Sai Masu Gida have
struggled to find consistency in recent matches, securing only one win in their
last three outings.
This dip in form has raised concerns among the
management and supporters, who expect a higher level of performance from the
team.
"Following the draw at the Sani Abacha
Stadium, Usman's gesture towards the fans was deemed inappropriate by the
management, leading to the disciplinary action. The club remains committed to
maintaining professionalism and fostering a respectful relationship between the
team and its passionate supporters.
"In the interim, club legend and Chief Coach,
Ahmed Garba Yaro-Yaro, will take charge of the technical team. He will be
supported by assistant coaches Abubakar Musa, Gambo Muhammad, Suleiman Shuaibu,
and Ayuba Musa as they work to stabilize the squad and improve results.
"The Pyramid City side will now shift focus to
their upcoming NPFL25 Matchday 23 fixture against Remo Stars in Ikenne, a
crucial away encounter where they will look to bounce back and restore
confidence."
