I sincerely appreciate the management for triggering our participation in the ongoing competition at Ijapo field.
The competition which kicked off yesterday saw us
playing the second game of the day today which was our opening day game.
Initially there was tension and apprehension from all
round as we didn't know what to expect from the opponents as we didn't have any
prior information about them.
However, it didn't take our boys up to 5 minutes from
the start to show what they could do. We took the lead from a well worked team
goal, and then pressure on us doused.
The game became controlled effectively by our Skippo
Abayomi (Odegaard) who had a very fantastic game with Gerard anchoring in front
of the defence.
Everything worked right for us, so well that, just 27
minutes into the game we were already 3 goals up, however as usual we let our
guards down and we conceded a silly goal which actually was a case of lack of
awareness and quick reaction from two of our defenders.
Nevertheless the boys rose up and pushed on, and
managed to add one more goal to make it
4:1 in our favour going into the break.
After the break, we continued our dominance and we're
rewarded with 3 more goals, and that's after losing many chances.
The goal scorers were
AZ...... 3 goals
S?ji...... 2 goal
Skippoo... 1 goal
Elijah .....1 goal
The goals did not represent our dominance, we had many
chances to have scored more goals without conceding any!
I sincerely appreciate the Management for their
support and the players for their commitment.
My great applause goes to our Coach Johnson (Kanu) for
huge investment of knowledge into the team.
We have kicked off on a good note... We will build
from here.
The TRUTH remains... FJ FOOTBALL ACADEMY is back, and
we are not here to joke around.
We are Coach Okay's Soldiers... No retreat, No
Surrender!!!
Officially the coaches have given the boys tomorrow
off to rest and recover, our training resumes Friday morning 7am at School of
Agric field.
