The Chairman of the players board of the National
Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers NANPF, largely constituted by
current players in the Nigerian League, Abe Sunday, immediate past Captain of
Sunshine Stars Football club, has promised to meet with the President of the
Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), Nigeria ex
international Tijani Babaginda MON, over his planned moves to bring harmony
amongst the various players' union bodies in Nigeria to forge a common and
formidable front to promote the interest and rights of players in Nigeria.
According to the players board chairman he is on the
same page with the PFAN president to bring to an end the lingering crisis that
has divided players and continue to constitute major obstacles to the
development and welfare of Nigeria Professional Footballers
"The time to put all of our differences and
personal interest aside to project the common good and interest of the union
has come. I strongly believe that with the cooperation of every body this move
will yield positive results and impactful outcome" he concluded.
