Paris Saint-Germain produced a commanding display to defeat Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge, securing a resounding 8-2 aggregate victory and a place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

The French giants wasted no time taking control of the match, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opening the scoring early on. Bradley Barcola soon doubled the lead with a superb strike, effectively ending any hopes of a Chelsea comeback after their heavy first-leg defeat in Paris.

PSG continued their dominance in the second half, as substitute Senny Mayulu added a third goal to cap off a clinical performance from Luis Enrique’s side. The Parisians now advance to face either Liverpool or Galatasaray in the next round.

Fresh from winning their maiden Champions League title last season, PSG appear to be in formidable form as they push to defend their crown. The victory also serves as revenge for their loss to Chelsea in last year’s Club World Cup final.

For Chelsea, it was another frustrating outing in what has been a challenging period. Liam Rosenior’s side showed little belief in overturning the deficit, especially after conceding late goals in the first leg.

PSG struck just six minutes into the game following a defensive lapse, allowing Kvaratskhelia to power through and finish confidently. Barcola added the second after a well-worked move involving Warren Zaire-Emery and Achraf Hakimi, firing into the top corner.

Mayulu sealed the win shortly after the hour mark, finishing from close range after another impressive contribution from Kvaratskhelia.

Chelsea’s night worsened late in the game when Trevoh Chalobah was stretchered off, leaving the hosts to finish with 10 men after using all their substitutions.

The Blues will now shift their focus to securing qualification for next season’s Champions League, while PSG move forward in the competition with growing confidence.
