President Bola Tinubu has removed Daniel Bwala as
Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication.
Bwala now serves as Special Adviser on Policy
Communication.
Similarly, Sunday Dare, previously appointed as
Special Adviser on Public Communication and National Orientation, has been
reassigned as Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications.
These changes align with Tinubu’s efforts to improve
the efficiency of his media and communications team.
The trio of Sunday Dare, Daniel Bwala, and Bayo
Onanuga—who remains Special Adviser on Information and Strategy—will function
as collective spokespersons for the presidency.
This reshuffling came shortly after Bwala declared
himself as presidential spokesperson, replacing Ajuri Ngelale who resigned in
September.
Bwala said on Monday:
“There is no issue as to the differences in
terms of the responsibility; everybody knows his responsibility.
“I only came to introduce myself to you and the role
that was given to me by Mr. President. I told you that role was once occupied
by Ajuri Ngelale. But for God’s sake, we are all colleagues.
“We are not particularly bothered about who is this
who is that. We are working to achieve the mandate of Mr. President.”
