The 2025 Nigerian Economic Summit kicked off in
Abuja with top government officials, industry leaders, and traditional
rulers in attendance.
Among the dignitaries present are the Minister of
Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, and the Minister
of Budget and National Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu. Also in attendance
are captains of industry, members of the National Assembly, and
the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
This year’s summit, themed “The Reform Imperative:
Building a Prosperous and Inclusive Nigeria by 2030,” comes at a pivotal
moment in Nigeria’s development journey, as the government pursues wide-ranging
economic reforms aimed at restoring stability and driving inclusive growth.
Organisers say the summit seeks to forge a national
consensus on key reforms, balance economic stability with social
inclusion, and promote dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders
to accelerate Nigeria’s transformation and secure a prosperous future for all
citizens.
