Muhuyi Rimingado, the chairman of the Kano State
Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has been arrested over
an allegation of the diversion of N4 billion.
It was gathered that Rimingado has been linked to a
high-profile corruption case in the state and is billed to be moved to Abuja.
A source within the commission said Rimingado was
arrested on Friday, January 24, 2025, by some police officers led by Assistant
Superintendent of Police Ahmed Bello.
The source said, “He was arrested today (Friday) and
he would likely be taken to Abuja.”
Another source stated that his arrest might not be
unconnected to the trial of Bola Inuwa, a former managing director of Kano
Agricultural Supply Company Limited (KASCO).
Inuwa’s trial which began in November 2023 has also
led to the seizure of some of his properties and money in his bank accounts.
