Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State
has approved the immediate dissolution of the Niger State Universal
Basic Education Board (NSUBEB).
This was announced in a statement issued on Friday
in Minna by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji
Abubakar Usman.
According to the statement, the decision is part of
the administration’s ongoing efforts to reposition and strengthen the
education sector for enhanced efficiency, accountability, and improved
service delivery.
The SSG directed all members of the dissolved Board,
including the Secretary, to handover all official documents, assets, and
responsibilities to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and
Secondary Education.
Governor Bago expressed appreciation to the outgoing Board members for their service and contributions to the growth and development of basic education in Niger State and wished them success in their future endeavours.
