Barcelona have completed the signing of highly rated Belgian winger Jesse Bisiwu from Club Brugge in a deal reportedly worth €8.5 million.

The 18-year-old has signed a five-year contract that will keep him at the Spanish champions until June 30, 2031.

Confirming the transfer, Barcelona announced that an agreement had been reached with Club Brugge for the youngster's move to the Catalan club.

"FC Barcelona and Club Brugge have reached an agreement for the transfer of Jesse Bisiwu, who signs up to be a Blaugrana until 30 June 2031," the club said in a statement.

Barcelona also confirmed that Bisiwu will be officially presented as a new player in the coming days.

The winger joins the La Liga champions after several months of negotiations, with Barcelona identifying him as one of Belgium's brightest emerging talents.

He becomes the latest addition to the club's summer recruitment drive, following the arrivals of Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi.

Barcelona described Bisiwu as a player with "a great future ahead," highlighting his pace, physical strength, and dribbling ability as key attributes.

Born on January 22, 2008, Bisiwu has represented Belgium at youth level and rose to prominence during the 2025 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, where he helped his country reach the semi-finals and earned a place in the tournament's Best XI.

He began his football journey with OH Leuven before joining Club Brugge's academy in 2020.

Over the past two seasons, Bisiwu made 14 appearances in the UEFA Youth League, scoring three goals, while also gaining valuable senior experience with Club NXT, Club Brugge's reserve team.

He made his Belgian Second Division debut in 2023 at just 15 years old and went on to make 36 appearances for the reserve side, although he never featured for Club Brugge's senior team.

Barcelona are expected to integrate the teenager gradually, with Bisiwu set to begin his career with Barça Atlètic, the club's reserve team, while training regularly with the first-team squad as part of his long-term development.

With the move, Bisiwu becomes the latest Belgian footballer to wear the famous Blaugrana shirt, following former Barcelona players Thomas Vermaelen and Fernand Goyvaerts.
