Bayelsa Queens has relocated from their former camp to
a far better one after three years at the old camp.
The players were overjoyed as the Prosperity
Government said they wanted something good and suitable for the players of
Bayelsa Queens FC. Hon. Commissioner for Sports Development, Dr Baraladei
Daniel Igali, during the inspection of the facility, said football is far more
than just a game; it is a universal language that inspires, unites, and drives
people to achieve greatness both on and off the field if they have a conducive
environment to stay.
According to the Commissioner for Sports Development,
now that Bayelsa Queens have a more befitting accommodation, the best is
expected of them, even as they go to represent the State and Country in the CAF
WAFU-B tournament.
"Success is no accident. It is hard work,
perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what
you’re doing or learning to do."
Dr Igali added. Chairman Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala
thanked His Excellency Governor Douye Diri, Deputy Senator Lawrence Ehwrudjakpo
and the Commissioner for Sports Development, Dr Daniel Igali, for the
outstanding leadership and consistent support to Bayelsa Queens FC.
Pastor Apreala said the ability of the State
Government to listen to the team, provide constructive feedback, and advocate
for their needs has made the Prosperity Government an exceptional supervisor.
“Thank you for always being approachable and willing
to invest your time in our success. Government mentorship has been invaluable
to our development”, Pastor Apreala said.
“With this kind gesture from the Prosperity
Government, we have to keep working hard and playing well to win laurels for
the State”, Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala added.
