The Senate of Bayero University Kano (BUK) has
expelled 57 students over their involvement in examination misconduct.
The decision was reached during the Senate’s 427th meeting held on September
10, 2025, in line with the institution’s General Examination and
Academic Regulations (GEAR) for both undergraduate and postgraduate
students.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Director
of the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions, and Records (DEAR), Malam Aminu
Wada Kurawa.

The Senate reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward
academic misconduct, stressing that strict enforcement of regulations is
necessary to maintain academic standards, integrity, and discipline
within the university community.
