The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has
finalized plans to conduct the playoff draw for the 2024 Championship of
African Nations (CHAN), BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The draw follows the decision of several countries
that had initially withdrawn from the competition but later reversed their
stance and opted to rejoin the tournament.
The countries involved in this change include Algeria,
Egypt, Gambia, South Africa, Comoros, Gabon, and Malawi.
CAF announced that the draw will take place next week,
with only two of these seven nations securing a spot in the competition.
The 2024 CHAN will be held in August 2025 across
Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
