Edo Queens delivered another dominant performance in the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six tournament, thrashing Abia Angels 6-2 on Matchday Three in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The Benin-based side showcased their attacking prowess with an impressive display led by star forward Chioma Moses, who scored four goals to inspire her team to a convincing victory.

Edo Queens got off to a flying start when Chioma Moses opened the scoring in the third minute. However, Abia Angels responded quickly as Mariam Abdulrasheed capitalized on a defensive lapse to level the score in the 11th minute.

Just when it appeared both sides would head into the break on equal terms, Moses struck again in stoppage time of the first half to restore Edo Queens' lead and make it 2-1.

The second half belonged entirely to Edo Queens as they took complete control of proceedings. Substitute Precious Oscar extended the lead in the 52nd minute, making an immediate impact after coming off the bench.

Only two minutes later, Atume Doosuur added a fourth goal to put the defending champions firmly in command of the contest.

Chioma Moses then completed a memorable outing by scoring two more goals in the 72nd and 81st minutes to seal her four-goal haul and take the score to 6-1.

Abia Angels managed a late consolation through Blessing Saleh in the 87th minute, but it did little to alter the outcome of the match as Edo Queens cruised to a comprehensive 6-2 victory.

Speaking after the game, Edo Queens head coach, Moses Aduku, praised his players' determination and focus while acknowledging the quality of their opponents.

He stressed that his team remains fully committed to maintaining its momentum in the remaining fixtures against Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens.

According to Aduku, the competition is far from over, and his side will approach the remaining matches with the same intensity and winning mentality.

Team captain, Deborah Odiagbe, also expressed confidence in the squad's ability to go all the way, insisting that there is no room for complacency as they pursue the league title.

In other Matchday Three results, Bayelsa Queens defeated Rivers Angels 2-1, while FC Robo secured a 2-0 victory over Nasarawa Amazons.

With the latest result, Edo Queens have further strengthened their credentials as one of the leading contenders for this year's NWFL Super Six crown.
