Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, appeared
before the Federal High Court in Kawo, Kaduna, on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in
connection with a case filed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other
Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The court session followed an earlier appearance at
the Kaduna State High Court, as the former governor continues to face multiple
legal proceedings.
El-Rufai had earlier been granted temporary release by
the ICPC to attend the burial of his mother.
During the Federal High Court sitting, the judge
adjourned the hearing of his bail application until Wednesday, April 1.
His counsel, Ukpong Abang (SAN), confirmed the
adjournment but declined to provide further details, noting that legal
processes were still ongoing.
After the court session, El-Rufai was escorted from
the premises by ICPC operatives in an official vehicle as the case continues.
