As preparations intensify for the 2025/2026 Inter-Club
competitions, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has issued a firm
deadline to its member associations, including the Nigeria Football Federation
(NFF), for the submission of their representatives.
Remo Stars and Rivers United have already secured
qualification for the CAF Champions League, while Abia Warriors are set to
participate in the CAF Confederation Cup. However, the identity of the second
Nigerian team to join Abia Warriors in the Confederation Cup remains undecided.
This will depend on the outcome of the 2025 Federation
Cup final between Kwara United and Abakaliki FC, which is yet to be played.
CAF has confirmed that the deadline for submission of
participating clubs is July 31, 2025, stressing that no extensions will be
granted.
The competitions are scheduled to kick off in
mid-September.
