Celebrations erupted across Iran and among the global Iranian diaspora after news broke that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had been killed in a joint United States Armed Forces–Israel Defense Forces airstrike campaign targeting Iranian leadership and regime structures. Iranian state media confirmed Khamenei’s death following the strikes.
