An American Christian missionary, Alex Barbir, has publicly criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following a deadly attack in Anguwan Rukuba, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday night, March 29, reportedly left at least ten people dead after suspected terrorists stormed the community. Witnesses said the attackers, armed and riding motorcycles, opened fire indiscriminately and set some houses ablaze.

In response to the violence, the state government declared emergency measures in the affected local government area to contain the situation.

Reacting in a video circulating on social media, Barbir accused the Nigerian government of failing to adequately address the persistent insecurity in the region. He expressed concern over the repeated loss of lives and urged authorities to take more decisive action to protect vulnerable communities.

The attack has further intensified public concern over safety in Plateau State, with calls for stronger security interventions to prevent future incidents.
