A Nigerian woman has been arrested in India after
authorities discovered cocaine in her possession during an operation in
Secunderabad.
The suspect, identified as James Tesling Yamyunal, was
apprehended by the Drugs Task Force following intelligence reports about drug
movement from Mumbai to Hyderabad.
Arrest Following Intelligence Tip-Off
Operatives intercepted the suspect near Sunshine
Hospital in the Paradise area of Secunderabad after receiving credible
information about a foreign national transporting illegal substances.
Drugs Recovered
Authorities recovered approximately 7.5 grams of
cocaine from the suspect, with an estimated street value of about ?2.35 lakh.
Alleged Distribution Plan
Investigations revealed that the drugs were reportedly
purchased in Mumbai at a lower rate and were intended for resale in Hyderabad
at a significantly higher price.
Case Handed Over for Prosecution
The suspect has been transferred to the Secunderabad
Excise Station, where further investigation and legal proceedings are ongoing.
