The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Osun
State chapter, has reaffirmed that its ongoing strike remains indefinite,
dismissing rumors of suspension.
In a statement released on Thursday, the union’s
chairman, Comrade Idris Adedayo Adeniran, described reports suggesting
an end to the strike as “false, baseless, and maliciously intended to weaken
our legitimate struggle.”
Adeniran emphasized that JUSUN members are resolute in
their pursuit of timely promotions, improved welfare, and better working
conditions, stressing that these demands are “legitimate, reasonable, and
long overdue.”
Solidarity Rally Announced
The JUSUN State Executive Council has invited members
to a solidarity rally at the Osun State Judiciary headquarters. The
event, scheduled for 8:00 a.m. today (Thursday) at the High Court Gate,
aims to strengthen unity and amplify demands for justice.
The chairman urged members, lawyers, and stakeholders
to remain vigilant and united, insisting that recognition from the
Judicial Service Commission under Chief Judge Adepele Ojo is vital to
ending the strike.
Union’s Position
Adeniran reaffirmed that the strike will continue
until their demands are met, declaring:
“We remain united and determined to achieve victory for the judiciary staff
of Osun State.”
