A petroleum tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS)
overturned and ignited a fire late Wednesday, February 11, in the Ikeja Along
area of Lagos State.
According to reports, the tanker spilled its fuel onto
the road, triggering a blaze that drew the attention of nearby residents.
Emergency responders, including officials from the Lagos State Traffic
Management Authority (LASTMA), rushed to the scene to manage the situation and
contain the fire.
No details on casualties or the extent of property
damage have been released, as authorities continue their response. Traffic
disruptions are expected in the area while the scene is cleared and the fire is
fully controlled.
