PiggyVest Introduces 'Wellness Check' to
Monitor User Inactivity and Notify Next of Kin
In a significant move to enhance user account
management, PiggyVest has launched a new feature called "Wellness
Check." This initiative is designed to monitor user activity and ensure
that funds are accessible to designated Next of Kin (NOK) in cases of prolonged
inactivity.
Safeguarding
User Funds Through Proactive Monitoring
PiggyVest's "Wellness Check" operates by
tracking user engagement on the platform. If an account remains
inactive—defined by no logins, fundings, or withdrawals—for a period of 18
months, the system triggers a check-in process. Initially, an email is sent to
the user to confirm their status. If there is no response or account activity
within four weeks, PiggyVest proceeds to contact the user's Next of Kin as
provided in their account details.
This approach aims to address concerns about the
accessibility of funds in situations where users may be incapacitated or
deceased, ensuring that their savings are not left unclaimed. PiggyVest has
emphasized the importance of users keeping their Next of Kin information up to
date to facilitate this process.
Company's
Commitment to User Security
In communications to its users, PiggyVest stated:
"If your account has no activity for 18 months
(no logins, fundings, or withdrawals), we’ll send you an email to check-in. If
there’s no response or activity after four weeks, we’ll reach out to your Next
of Kin."
This initiative reflects PiggyVest's ongoing
commitment to user security and the responsible management of user funds. By
proactively monitoring account activity and involving Next of Kin when
necessary, the platform seeks to provide peace of mind to its users and their
families.
User Action Required
To ensure the effectiveness of the "Wellness
Check" feature, PiggyVest advises all users to:
By taking these steps, users can help ensure that
their savings are managed according to their wishes, even in unforeseen
