Political Earthquake Looms: Ganduje Predicts End For
APC Founders Who Jump Ship
Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All
Progressives Congress (APC), has issued a stern warning to party members
threatening to leave, describing their actions as a risky move. He emphasized
that defectors would lose political relevance, becoming “spent forces” in their
respective localities, states, and zones
Ganduje’s warning comes amid rumors that founding APC
members like Rotimi Amaechi, Nasir el-Rufai, and Kayode Fayemi might be
considering leaving the party.
In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant
on Public Enlightenment, Oliver Okpala, Ganduje declared:
“If they choose another party over APC, they will lose
their political clout in their communities, local governments, states, and
zones because APC is the platform that elevated them politically. Our party
remains dominant in their areas, and if they leave, their followers will view
them as irrelevant.”
The statement also lauded Ganduje’s political acumen,
describing him as a skilled leader whose leadership has propelled the APC ahead
of its rivals.
Furthermore, Okpala highlighted that the recent vote
of confidence in Ganduje and the APC National Working Committee (NWC) during
the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting was a testament to his
unchallenged leadership abilities.
