The Supreme Court has declared the local
government election conducted by the Rivers State Independent Electoral
Commission on October 5, 2024, invalid
In a judgment delivered by Justice Jamilu Tukur, the
court ruled that the election was null and void due to significant violations
of the Electoral Act.
