Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly opened
negotiations with Bundesliga club RB Leipzig over the signing of highly-rated
Ivory Coast forward Yan Diomande.
According to a source familiar with the discussions,
the 19-year-old has informed Leipzig of his desire to join the French champions
during the current transfer window, while also expressing his eagerness to
complete the move to the reigning UEFA Champions League winners.
Diomande, who remains under contract with the German
club until 2030, is said to be one of PSG's priority transfer targets as the
club looks to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the new season.
The potential arrival of the Ivorian youngster could
coincide with the departure of Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos, who is
reportedly on the verge of joining AC Milan.
Reports indicate that PSG and the Italian giants have
reached an agreement for Ramos' transfer in a deal worth approximately €74
million, with additional performance-related bonuses potentially increasing the
total package to €90 million. However, the French club has yet to officially
confirm the reported agreement.
Born in Abidjan, Diomande had a brief spell with
Spanish side Leganés in 2025 before securing a move to RB Leipzig. He enjoyed
an outstanding first season in the Bundesliga, scoring 12 goals and quickly
establishing himself as one of the league's most promising young attackers.
The winger is currently on international duty with the
Ivory Coast national team as they prepare for Tuesday's FIFA World Cup Round of
32 encounter against Norway.
Should the transfer be completed, Diomande would
become PSG's first major signing of the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Ramos appears set to end his three-year
stay in Paris. Since joining from Benfica, the Portugal international has
helped PSG win three Ligue 1 titles, two domestic cup trophies and two UEFA
Champions League crowns.
Despite those achievements, the 24-year-old found
regular starting opportunities difficult to come by under manager Luis Enrique.
He initially played behind Kylian Mbappé and later Ousmane Dembélé in the
club's attacking pecking order, failing to start a single Champions League
match this season.
Even so, Ramos remained a valuable squad member,
contributing 45 goals in 131 appearances across all competitions for the French
champions.
