Hamzah Sheeraz believes he can become a middleweight world
champion in 2024.
Sheeraz, 24, beat Luke Williams in just one round at
London's Copper Box Arena on Saturday, meaning he has won all 19 of his
professional bouts.
And his career ambitions extend to winning multiple titles
in years to come.
He told Reporters: "Maybe two more
fights and then make the world title shot happen.
"Being world champion would be part one complete. I
wouldn't rule it out for the end of this year.
"Then it's time to unify and be a three-weight world
champion. That's a massive dream of mine."
Sheeraz's victory inspired promoter Frank Warren to compare
the boxer's jab to great American fighter Tommy Hearns.
And the Briton admitted he is humbled to be mentioned in
such company.
He said: "It's an honour to have my name in the same
sentence.
"Even to be recognised as replicating such a great
Kronk [gym] style of fighting. To show the power.
"But it's more my frame than anything else. Skinny,
strong, long."
Sheeraz is keen to face Chris Eubank Jr next as he maps out
his plans for the year, with hopes public appetite for the fight means it can
be organised quickly.
He said: "He [Eubank Jr] is an explosive fighter and
strong but I'm building up to that reputation too. It's got the ingredients of
being a great fight.
"Whether that's realistic next or not, I don't know. It
has generated the public's interest and when the public get hold of something
then more often than not the fights do happen.
"If he believes he's better than me, let's dance.
