Nigeria’s Super Falcons have once again been honoured
as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Women’s National Team of the
Year, marking their third consecutive triumph following wins in 2023 and 2024.
The announcement was made during the prestigious CAF
awards ceremony held at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat,
Morocco.
The Super Falcons outperformed Ghana’s Black Queens
and Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses to claim the accolade, building on their
record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title secured in August
2024.
President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF),
Ibrahim Gusau, accepted the award on behalf of the team.
This latest recognition reinforces the Super Falcons’
dominance in African women’s football, highlighting their unmatched
consistency, skill, and resilience on the continental stage.
