Preaching on the “Goodness of Working with God”, Elder [Barrister] Isaac Imo, commended the life of service in God’s vineyard that Madam Obaseki lived.
He urged parishioners to reverence God, fear, respect, obey and honour Him, adding that anytime “you have the opportunity to sin and you run away, you have run away from poison.
“When you discontinue sinning, you have expressed your love for God.
“We must obey God. We need the spirit of obedience to do all that God asks us to do.”
He advised that no one should be a benchwarmer. We must do the work of God while it is day for the night cometh when no man can work.
Elder Imo said that “working with God means we will not walk in the counsel of the wicked.
“Another way to work with God is to live a life of accountability. Anywhere there is no accountability, there is irresponsibility.”
He stated that there were blessings for those who work and walk with God.
Rounding off, he charged the congregation to fear God and keep His commandment for this is the whole duty of man onto His Creator.
Both Prince Clem Agba and his wife, Princess Catherine Agba, testified to God’s goodness and thanked Him and the Church for their physical and spiritual support.
The Agba family and their friends donated a princely sum towards the building of the church auditorium and procurement of chairs in the church.
