THE AMEDOKHIAN DEVASTATIVE FEUD SETTLED TODAY

UROMI-The devastitative feud Which had tore Amedokhian Community Uromi, the administrative headquarters of Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State was settled today the 21st day of june,2025.

  The event which was attended by the four quarters (Egbenene) who migrated from Okanigben Ewohimi to Uromi was a unique one.

  The ceremony was held at Amedokhian Community presided over by the Ojuromi of Uromi Kingdom,His Royal Marjesty HRM Zaiki Aslem Odaloighe Edenojie 11 JP MFR with his Traditional Council of Chiefs.

   Speaking at the occasion, the Ojuromi emphasised that henceforth, the EZOMO of Uromi Kingdom,Chief Henry Amebhagbe Iriogbe is the head  the community and not High Priest of Ominohuan deity in the community.

  Zaiki Edenojie maintained that, it's the Chief of the community who reports back to the king after deliberating with elders of the community.

  According to him, Chief priest of Agba in the palace is the head of all the priests in Uromi Kingdom.

   He however pointed out that, it's a misnormal for a deity High priest to take over the position of the Ezomo who is number three and head of the entire community.

   The four quarters (Ebgenenen) comprising Idumu-Oniha,Ukpato,Uzegua,Idumu-Enih and Idumu-Esodole were in full attendance to witness the removal Mr Friday Okhueleigbe as the High Priest of Ominohuan and replaced with Elder Odion Ikhayere Areghan who was immediately sworn-in as the new High Priest of Ominohuan deity in Amedokhian Community.

   The Odionwele of Amedokhian Community,Elder Okodogbe Oseghe headed the council of community elders at the event.

  While the Oniha of Uromi Kingdom, Chief Festus Oniha,led the four quarters to Amedokhian.Others includes,Chief Edebhakhia,Mr Samuel Okadukpon,Chief Enih, Chief Ted Inegbedipn,,Mr Udegbe and the Uzegua Community,who led the opening prayers at the occasion.
