President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his
administration’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s Armed Forces in the fight
against banditry and insurgency.
The President gave the assurance on Monday in Yola
while commissioning projects executed by Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Fintiri.
Commending the military for its ongoing efforts to
restore peace across the country, Tinubu expressed gratitude to troops for
their dedication and resilience.
“We are grateful to the Nigerian Armed Forces for
their commitment to liberating Nigeria from banditry and insurgency. Together,
we will win,” he said.
The Commander-in-Chief also called on state governors
and citizens to work collaboratively toward national development, urging
Nigerians to support their leaders in advancing progress at both state and
national levels.
“As your leader, I am assuring you of my continuous
service and sacrifice. Nigeria is ours to develop. I am a very happy man,” he
added.
Tinubu further applauded Governor Fintiri for the
projects undertaken by his administration, describing them as commendable
strides in the state’s development.
During the event, the President also praised the
National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, a native of Adamawa State,
acknowledging his contributions to strengthening national security.
Describing Ribadu — a retired Assistant Inspector
General of Police and former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission — as courageous and committed, Tinubu said the country was already
witnessing positive results from his efforts.
“With you, we will defeat the bandits and terrorists.
You are a good National Security Adviser — honest, bold, courageous, and
committed to the job. I believe the state of Adamawa is strongly proud of you,
of course, I am too,” the President stated.
He expressed confidence that under Ribadu’s
leadership, Nigeria’s security challenges would be decisively tackled and the
country’s enemies defeated.
