World-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua, on Wednesday,
paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu at his Lagos residence, presenting him
with a gift – an autographed glove.
The development was revealed by Dada Olusegun, the
Special Adviser to the President on Social Media, in a post on social media
platform X.
The inscription on the glove reads: “To the Great
Asiwaju Borgu of Africa, Bola A Tinubu”.
This gesture comes on the heels of Joshua’s
appointment as Ogun State’s sports ambassador by Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The appointment was made during a courtesy visit to
the Government House in Abeokuta on Monday.
Joshua’s mother is Nigerian, while his father has
Nigerian and Irish ancestry. His Nigerian roots can be traced back to the
Yoruba people.
