DELTA: Torino FC/FA has appointed Pastor Samuel R.
Oyibo, Director of ACT Sports, as its official representative for African
projects, marking a significant step in football development across the
continent.
In an exclusive statement shared to journalists in
warri and Asaba, Pastor Oyibo expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in
him by Torino FC/FA and unveiled plans to expand the academy's reach across
Africa.
“This is a significant milestone, and I thank God for
this opportunity,” he said.
“With Torino FC/FA's approval, we will extend our tent
to other African countries and strengthen our mission of developing football
talent.”
New Opportunities for Nigerian Youth, Pastor Oyibo
highlighted Torino FC/FA’s approval of under-20 and under-18 football projects
in Nigeria, aimed at identifying and nurturing exceptional players for the ACT
Sports/Torino FC/FA Football Academy.
“As part of this initiative, we are preparing a team
for trials and games in Italy, scheduled for early 2025. This opportunity will
showcase Nigerian talent on the global stage,” he added.
He called on stakeholders, football enthusiasts, and
well-wishers to rally behind the initiative, emphasizing the role of collective
effort in achieving success.
A Visionary Leader in Football Development, Born in
Abraka, Delta State, Pastor Oyibo’s journey has been deeply rooted in a
faith-driven mission to uplift communities. Alongside his wife, Pastor Mary G.
Di Blasi, he co-founded the Samaria Gospel of Love Mission, which operates in
Ghana, Nigeria, and Italy, focusing on charity initiatives and educational
empowerment.
Over the past two decades, Pastor Oyibo has served as
a representative of the Delta State Football Association in Asia, Europe, and
the Americas, creating pathways for Nigerian youth to excel in sports.
The recent appointment by Torino FC/FA reflects his
