World Athletics has spotlighted Nigeria's Miracle
Ezechukwu and Success Oyibu as two of the leading contenders in the women's 200
metres at the ongoing World U20 Championships.
The athletics governing body recognised the Nigerian
sprinters following their impressive performances this season, placing them
among the athletes expected to make a strong impact in the event.
Ezechukwu arrives at the championships as Nigeria's
reigning women's 200m champion and holds a personal best of 22.77 seconds,
underlining her credentials as one of Africa's brightest sprint prospects.
Oyibu has also enjoyed an impressive season, recording
a lifetime best of 22.90 seconds while competing for Baylor University in the
United States.
With both athletes entering the competition in
excellent form, Nigeria will be hoping the pair can challenge for top honours
and enhance the country's medal prospects in the women's 200m at the World U20
Championships.
